So... time has come to get rid of the defender 90

had it about a year just wanted to know what yous think its worth.. I don't need it anymore actually never needed it just wanted it, I live only a mile away from work and walk every day so its pointless and don't want it to become the type of defender you have to restore.

Want a new motorbike :clap2:

it has a solid chassis and no welding same on the bulk head all wax oiled.

* note I have removed the carpets from the foot wells.*

93000 miles 300tdi R reg,

only asking because im planning on selling to one of them *we buy your defender* add on ebay. Payed £7800

£5,500 maybe £6,000 to the right buyer, judging by current prices. On here, to folks in the know, the good half of a twix but without the wrapper. ;)

I would have thought got to be worth 6k? Relatively low mileage for a land rover, looks very good condition, unmolested (but you really should do something with the wire hanging out of the drivers door...)

That is getting removed it was for the cb don't use it

Fair enough. Just bear in mind you will never get what it's worth from one of the 'we buy your defender' lot. They need to buy it at a price such that they can sell it on themselves and turn a good profit on it

Didn't even insinuate I would get 7800

It's hard to sell to a crowd of people who are happy restoring them for the rest of there life like a on goin project

And I never insinuated you did think that. Im just saying if you go to one of the ebay buyers youll be lucky to see 4k private you may get 5.5k .And as for hard to sell to a crowd of people who are happy restoring them for the rest of there lives....... who else do you think will part with lets say 5k for what in reality is a £500 car your average car buyer aint gona be looking for a 17 year old Defender :p

It's a very nice vehicle and you may get £6k in a bad winter, for the price you are asking most would be looking at a TD5. Good Luck :)

I wouldn't want the td5 personally and what attracted me to the 1997 plate was I could get classic insurance on it so this defender would appeal to a younger driver like my self and pluss it's one of the lad 300tdi's
