As per title really, found this in a barn at a place ive been working at.
The owner isnt sure of its value and doesnt have a use for it any moe.
It was first owned by the raf and used on an airbase but not sure where? it was the bought by the guy who used to use it in the raf and ended up in a garage for 30 years. The engine was then reconditioned and the landy was used very rarely until the end of 2008 and parked up where it now stands. ive heard it running and it sounds sweat, ive had a crawl arround it and cant see anything wrong with it, there isnt any rust anywhere altough some of the cappings could do with regalvenising. All the pannels are straight and the seats are in exceptional condition.
Its a 1957 by the way.
Anyone have any idea as to its value?? as im very interested in buying it.

Ps before anyone starts i know there are some pics of a lightweight and a 6 wheeled rr carravette.

a series 1 in that shape regardless of an mot or anything can be worth a pretty penny ive seen such examples round the £2 grand mark
id offer him £750 but thats just my way of thinking

knowing very little about S1's but just looking at the pictures you have supplied along with your description, i'm guessing it's worth 2k as it stands, quite possibly more, not sure if the roof and panels are correct though, i'm not sure if the tropical skin was fitted to S1's

engine looks to be correct to me (guessing it's a 2litre) and obviously the more original (original axles/engine/gearbox etc') it is the more it'll be worth to a S1 enthusiast, especially if it has verifiable history as well

i'd like a S1 but it would have to be a dog eared bitsa as i'd want to mess about with it

Series are not bone rattlers only onesthat have been unloved!

We **** take but they can be very nice to drive

An opportunity like that don't happen every day. If I was looking for something to restore and an 86 or 88 S1 in that condition popped up I wouldn't be able to sleep until it was in my garage. I had quite a few S1's in the 1980's and I would prefer an 86 over the others they look cool on FC rims and a rag top.
