hi bought a disco few months bk and mrs refuses to let me off road in it

so need to know what is best beginners landy. will have about a grand to spend and dont mind a project as i quite like to fettle at weekends

get a old defender 90 td /or a disco 1
as you you wont get a 300tdi or 200tdi for that money
or buy her a run about if you cant put your foot down

was thinking that like a 3 dr manual prob be after xmas now but cant wait to get away at weekends bit of off roading camping etc

Contradicted yourself

A Disco 1 has either a 200TDi or 300TDI engine fitted .... and they are cheap as chips to buy if you don't mind a bit of welding work to tidy them up.
