The honda CRV owner in the household has finally got fed up driving a bland slitty and never beig able to find it in the sea of other bland slitties in assorted car parking situations.
A new Defender was mooted with the bonnet jockstrap - mid spec 90 SW.
I suggested taking the same money (or indeed a little less - I'm a scot) and building one up more or less from scratch on an HD galv chassis with a new take-off body (older style Td5) some good suspension and one of them brazilian 2.8s. Either registering it as new and getting a test, or using the identity of an old d-plate we have (in that case it would have the drum brakes on rear).
What would folks do? Talking about 18 grand all in for the build-up or the same or more for a tranny job.
