Yes yes I know a disco tyre thread :behindsofa:

It is abit different in that there for our D4

The current pirelli scorpions just don't last long enough and are about due changing before winter as its getting slippery already

Standard size only obviously which I think is 255/55/19

Im thinking something along the lines of cooper ltz or similar.

98% road use often towing a 3.5 tonne trailer so only light all terrain needed its never struggled on a wet field with the trailer on even on road tyres so don't need anything extreme and im not allowed to take it to morrocco

So yeah suggestions and reviews :)

Nexen Roadian HP's, cheap, quiet, excellent performance both on and off road and I can't rate them enough on the Rangie.

Yep! I would agree with that. :) Got them on my Disco, I didn't choose them they were on a set of second hand wheels I got, but they have been fine for general use and towing.

As I suspected, bigger wheel size and a much lower profile then the older discos.
That will probably come expensive! Just one of the many prices to be paid for owning a modern vehicle, I am afraid! :)
My Rangie has 20"s on . Not by choice mind, they were only £100 a corner all in !! :D

Tyre pricing is a strange game, doesn't seem to be so much the rim size as the profile makes the difference  Years ago my daughter had a girl racer Seat, with wide wheels and tyres about two inches high  They cost £120 a time, and rubbed out on the arches every 3k :D

I have a lot of tyres, the most I paid for any was about 60 quid each. :) But a lot of them are cast offs and hand me downs.

That's landy tyres only of course. the rears on my Massey were £575 a side, and that was five years ago! :(
