133k miles on a 2000 Di
Starting to get rusty, Its probably had every electrical fault in the back and many new bits to it by the previous owner. Just needs a VCU and anti roll bar links and it will be mechanically sound

God know how long for :S

114798 and drives like a dream although tidal roads are not adviseable as i found out the other day but it still lives on trusty old steed !!!

Newbie to the forum here - hi!

I bought my 98 1.8 SEi 5 door last summer and it's now done 105,500-ish.
Only expecting it to last 2 years before a mega bill comes up as I only paid £1800 for it but it seems fairly good overall.
Used for motorbike carrying/towing, cruddy weather driving and general dogsbody when I don't want to wreck my BMW and as I live in the South East where roads are falling apart I'm quite pleased to own it.

Head gasket must be done ok as last owner had it for 6 years and many 1000 miles - unless he got rid of it before it fails again.

:welcome: David

use the search and it may last you longer than you think ;)

Cheers - I'm hoping it might as, against all the odds, I am actually enjoying sluggish 4x4 driving.
I'm normally more keen on sportier fare but if I can eke out a longer life then all's good.

I got stuck in ¼" of icy snow last winter and spent the night in a pub fortunately as my BMW 130 was undriveable (everyone was abandoning cars as it all iced over as it landed - hence the idea to get an old dog to get me through the mucky weather and salted roads but it seems to have taken over my life.

01 TD4 212k, turning 213 this weekend. Bought cheap as a trade in had to do a bit of work (new caliper pistons and seal, pads, shoes, VCU, tyres and AC compressor belt and tensioner) Was just going to clean it up and sell on but enjoying too much!!

100K came up on the odometer last week.

All driven by me. :D

Still don't see any suitable replacement for it. :(

But it's nicely ran in now - good for a few more 100's yet.

Singvogel.

If my first one hadn't been smashed i would be about to hit the 100k miles this year.

Current is at 72k. I recon i will be running this one past 100k now as the cost to change to what i wish (discovery 3 hse Auto) is too great and will 4 years of student life about to happen, i'll still with what i know.
