Disco 2 What made you buy your Disco 2? And would you buy one again?

Well after having my d2 2003 auto for just under a year, replaced front disks and pads, front driver hub twice (first ones bearing failed) spent 2 months with 3 amigos on) spent last two days welding the rear chassis section.... would I buy another?

Hell yes. Why buy a vehicle that you don' have to work on, that would be boring for a start, it tows like a Clydesdale, drives like a 4x4 armchair on and off road and has a green oval badge.

I’m on my forth one now. Basically I’m doing a chassis swap on my defender so I still need a tow car. So I keep buying MOT failed Disco 2’s. I get them sorted and through the mot tart them up a bit and then end up selling them when someone offers me a price I can’t refuse. :D
Mind you I did roll the first one and still made money on it from the insurance.
Currently got a Monaco blue 03 plate which I paid a grand for and it’s all sorted and mot’d now and cost about £200 in parts. Mind you this isn’t getting my 90 built but there all addictive.
I’d buy another like a shot if I sell this on :D

We used ali sheeting to protect the fuel filter and tank, otherwise was just prep time mostly, we were lucky though as my mate let me use one of his ramps and mig so we didn't have to lug ours over to his place.
