So what is the Vouge that I have often seen threads about and the occasional vehicle for sale, these must be a truly rare edition to the family ?
 
As proven above, as I stated previously, there is a difference between asking questions that only knowledge,experience and good old geekiness can answer, eg why is the only difference between a 1999 HSE and a 2000 Vogue , a chrome button?
Or asking a question where the answer can be found, in a 10 second search, on numerous sites, answered numerous times.
I do not expect a 4yr old to know all the answers either, but as they got older, I would encourage them, as I was, to find things out without expecting others to just tell them. Especially now, as it's sooooooo much easier than going through an encyclopedia or having to leave the house and go to the library (when they deigned to be open).
Then again perhaps my background makes me less tolerant of laziness, of any type , and that those I have encouraged to grow and to think for themselves, were old enough to be able to do so. As they were 17.5yrs upwards.
Whatever, the ins and outs, the OP now has the answer to his original question, from the information that was already out there and the more in depth answer, from the knowledge of those who love the marque.

Thanks to Saintv8 and the others i now know what the vogue Means, Google proved useless in my search i was looking between key spec and visual differences on the P38 and google couldn't provide much info apart from the link i posted on page 1 which tbf is pretty useless.

A forum is for posting questions Is it not??

I am a member of a few forums not all car related, you an ask a truly geeky question or a dumb-ass question and they'll give you a simple and polite answer.

instead of posting a long paragraph on why i shouldn't of posted said thread maybe you should steer clear so it doesn't rile you up?

You did not push my buttons., nor did it rile me up. I just found your post lazy.
Even so , I gave you a link to help in your quest. I also gave you a hint to a site that explains EVERY standard AND available features, accessories and equipment. If that isn't enough and you want spoon fed then fair enough, it's just not how I work.
In the same vein as your post. This is an open forum, anyone can post , anyone can answer. If you don't like my answers, dont read them. There is a block function if you dont like tough love. Simples
Now go pick up your dummy, wipe it off. Then do as the rest of us do, say something funny, or find a post funny and move on.
I, in the meantime am off for a bath before my physio arrives. And in two minutes , probably less, I will have forgotten all about you and this thread, only recalling it , if someone tags me in it.

I appreciate the link you posted, but it was for the L322 i was looking for KEY spec differences on the P38

Google proves useless it just States the Vogue is top of the line, i just found it odd a Flagship Vogue can sometimes be out spec'd by the same year HSE.

Another reason why i asked the question.


Oh and regarding Dummy's i could never stand them.

This forum wouldn't be the same if you got a geeky anally retentive manufacturers option list now would it. Some people pay good money to be humiliated. ;):D

Ignore Goldie. Posting questions may be lazy but posting multiple times to criticise is futile. Each make forums what they are.
 
In the latter years of the P38, when BMW owned Land Rover, they begaan selling the vehicle with an options list.....previoisly LR would sell an SE which had XYZ, a HSE which had ABC......etc etc.....you bought the trim level you liked.

With BMW they gave you a base vehicle and a list of options......so you could have an SE with more spec than a HSE or a dHSE with more kit than a dHSE+.......

The VOGUE model was the top of the line base model with most options.....but you could spec up an HSE with more than a VOGUE Would have had as standard.
