What is the Tm Button/Light for

New to land rovers got myself a 2004 TD5 Es really enjoying already fitted a decat pipe and EGR bypass kit as monies allow going to get rid of the centre silencer another set of wheels for off-roading snorkel and other bits and bobs Have been mucking about for a month and have a great big smile on my face. Wish I got one years ago. I have one minor bug bear above my fuel cap and cruise control binnacles is a small round button with Tm on it can someone please tell me what it is for as i can find nothing about it, please help.

its called 'traffic master' mate.

its aftermarket, someone has fitted it.

good system, but never really kicked off popularity wise...

A subscription Nav and Traffic update service. The subscription bit is generally why they are not working when you get a car with one fitted.

Mine has some super-duper version where you press the button, get connected to a call centre, tell them where you want to go and they download the route to the system for you. Voice instruction only, no screen.

Scared the **** out of me the first time i pressed the button, not knowing what to expect and suddenly there was this voice in the car!!

you wont get a lot out of it unfortunately unless it is subscribed, but its definitely worth a push to see what happens.

some will play a recorded message, some will call the call centre, to set up another subscription.

check it out anyway, you might find it handy, and its a few hundred quid worth of hardware/installation cost if nothing else.
