Howdy from across the pond. New member but have had a fairly reliable LR2 for over 2 years. Wife on trip to TN got out at a rest area and when she wanted to leave the Rover had other ideas. Towed to dealer and was advised ECM wasn't sending signal to starter to "energize" and that the ECM needed replacing. HOWEVER, the dealer can't use a reman or refurbished ECM. $2500 was the quote. HOWEVER, after having it for 2 weeks I was advised the original part had been discontinued. OH ME! Anyone out there that has ANY info please HELP! Thanks and HAVE A BLESSED DAY!

Bridge the starter solenoid to get the engine to turn over, whether it starts will be a gamble tbh. Ive spent months on another
car with ecm problems, recoding keys ect 2 ecus body control unit & now just managed to get everything working ive spent
£500 ++ on parts and done the coding myself (this time round), had a lad clone the ecu & he put the old faults in the new ecu ffs
absolute pita wish id broken it for parts n scrapped the rest lol.
