What is snot on the magnet?

You should get a few warnings with Trans Fail before it does breath it's last breath (at least I did). Just enjoy it, change it when when it breaks or just before preferably, then carry on enjoying it. I like your attitude to RR ownership, sh1t happens, fix it, drive it again. It's amazing how many people complain about the cost of repairing a cheap (to purchase) luxury car.

Thank you. I fully intend on keeping the car, and will do whatever is required to use it. Its great car and absolutely love it. Issues are going to happen, and have happened. A little bit of time and dedication can rectify most issues...

I used to be dislexick but I am butter now

When ppl go off-road, they don't realise they have to put a plug in the gearbox housing to stop the water getting in

Out of interest what should diff oil smell like ??? Without being rude haha....

That oil was pretty rancid tbh. Smelt like natural gas...

I didn't either, lucky I had insurance, got a new box out of it, the mud and the sand ground the teeth on the gears down, went up a hill one day, and they were just grinding away, and I wasnt moving

It was m8..... that's how I know, and it cost the insurance company a lot of ££££££ (I took it to a stealer**** lol)

Auto I know where it goes in the series 2, I am guessing it's the same as the P38 at the front, and it's the size you put in a radiator

I think its like a breather hole

I'm going to look for that on mine before it's washy washy time

I know on 300tdi disco its where you put your timing pin in for diff

From underneath you push a pin through a hole in housing that locks into a hole in diff when timing is in correct position, this should match up with a locking pin that the goes in a the front to lock the fuel injection pump allowing you to do essential work on engine, ie change timing belt. I found out all this when I let a garage change my timing belt with out doing this procedure and making a right mess of my push rods
