What is snot on the magnet?

Changed my gearbox fluid today and filter. Oil was dreadful. No pieces, no debris. However the magnet was filled with snot. No mental. Any ideas ??

I'm sure the answer will be forthcoming, possible condensation. Did you pour a bit of oil on a piece of kitchen paper, it'll give you a better idea of the oil colour.;)

Interestingly soon as took the pan off. The magnet started releasing a grey material. Definitely no pieces. Obviously possible wear... however it looked more like a liquid then metal
