Well last night
stripped down the passager wing,
thinking of getting the inner wigs galvanized, started to stip the drivers wing off
but it was dark and cold, fingers crossed this weekend the front will be completely stripped

Started making a dog guard and shelves/kit boxes for the back.

Didn't get far .. measured up, worked out on paper what I want and how it'll fit but then found the bloody shed locks broke so I couldn't get in to get me grinder and welder and cba to do anything about it ..

Well I could have got in, but didn't feel that ultra violence was appropriate whilst the kids are still in school and looking over the fence ... ;)

Cleared some space in the back of mine, Checked the engine oil and coolant levels, Finally got around to posting the now redundant ceramic heater to another LZ member and then greased up my prop U/J's.

I was in half a mind to change the axle, transfer box and gearbox oils but found I didn't have enough EP80/90 or MTF left and wasn't prepared to pay Halfords prices to get some.

Steamed the chassis off and exposed a dodgy looking patch or two, need to investigate what's behind them:)

Failed to fit the handbrake adjuster to the Disco!

I can get the clip on, I can get the knob on but I can't get both of them on at the same time

And there's no thread on the knob

Thinking cap on for the weekend

What have i done to my landy...well i'll tell ya, i made a right hash of it...lol.

Put the steering box back on after replacing the lower sills.
Picked up me bottle of what i thought was steering fluid and started to pour only to realise (oh %$£" it's brake fluid). I quickly changed to steering fuild but needed some more so drove to the shop to get some, When i got back i decided to bleed the system and thought great done. There was no leaks at this point so looking good until i realised the uj was not lined up and the tightening bolt would not go through. At this point the brake/steering fluid mix was in a container out of the way.
Realising i needed to unbolt the steering box to allow the correct positioning of the uj i marched on with the job in hand to only end up with the new fluid i had just bought blead into the system all over the floor.
The only fluid i could now replace into the box was the original steering/brake fluid mixtuer.
WELL all done now and i can't see any leaks but im unable to replace the fluid for a few days ecause im busy.

I hope the steering/brake fluid mixture will be ok.

Averaged just over 68mph between Hebden Bridge and home!

34.2mpg covered the round trip and all the hills around Hebden that I had to go up in either 1st or 2nd gear! I'd forgotten how steep they were!

She's a good 'un and is used to being abused!

Partially filled it with good quality scrap stainless steel ready to weigh in .. Junior School getting rif of 'stuff' and a lot of stands and fittings were stainless, they asked if I minded helping!

Also picked up a few 10/100 routers and switches to go along with the 6 or 7 desktop computers I got last week! Pity they're worth next to feckorll mind .. swinga and roundabouts .. ;)
