What have you done to your Landie today.

fitted window motor.

Played with new flaring tool and bits of copper.

still pondering all the other jobs !!

Painted my exhaust manifold and the turbo with wood burner spray paint, stayed on and looks better than rust

(got grease on me lens)

that looks good.

Finally got around to taking my rocker cover off and sticking it back down with sealant in the hope of curing the oil leak. Also finished installing new bearings on my spare propshafts so they're all ready to fit when the current ones are worn out. Those bearing cups didn't want to come out and I succeeded in shattering a couple with the new press.

Tighten up the slack on the hand brake. Think it needs new shoes. Looks a bit of a job to change.

Been quoted £200+ to change the brake discs.

That'll be a DIY job then ...

tied to get my broken glow plug out with one of those screw extractor bits, got the blow torch on it to heat it up but only went an snapped the bit in the hole. so ive made it worse now poo

Removed, recharged then refitted my battery after i left the side lights on last night. Didn't realise the alarm would be that loud, nearly needed to change my underpants when I connected the fully charged battery.

how on earth! lol.. not having much luck there, I'de try the welding method now

Not too bad - I didn't mine a few weeks ago. It's very fiddly getting all the little springs engaged though, as they were apt to escape from my pliers and teleport themselves into another dimension. Easiest way I found was to assemble the shoes together with their springs and then put them against the back plate all in one piece, and try to engage the spring and pin clips that hold them against the back plate.

No I'm not the bloody stupid fooking thing. Went and bought a blow torch and everything!

It looks like that is the next option. Need to find a mig welder I suppose. :/ other 3 were absolutely fine. Did notice there was a bit of oxidation around the injector so maybe water has caused a problem leaking or running of the inside of the bonnet or something?

Oh well. Keep at it I suppose. At least it's still drivable

For now........ Got a clunk when I pull away and change gears coming from the rear part of the drive train. It's Christmas for parts!

been outside in the P#ing rain rewiring the engine loom on the 300TDi.

still need the sensor plug tho - mine is all burnt and broken .
