fitted a 16 inch electric ran to the disco 200 tdi. Didn't much like the through radiator fitting kit, so we came up with a alternative plan.

Fitted a new down exhaust pipe. Bit of a bugger to fit as I had to remove the cross member underneath in order to get the pipe in. Getting that out was more difficult than fitting the pipe. Ended up working in the dark and of course the torch packed up. Couldn't find one in the house anywhere that worked. After finishing the exhaust pipe I proceeded to repair all the torches.

Thought I would treat the old girl to a new passenger door seal (genuine) as some water leaked in a couple of days ago. Pi**ed down all day today and not a drop of water inside - ironic thing is that I haven't fitted it yet :5bwilly_nilly:

well, yesterday....
Morrisons car park, started her up, starter kept running...
Bugger, turned her off, starter still turning over, so killed batt switch.
off comes the dash, pull the starter wire off the switch, nope still going, under bonnet, check wiring for shorts, nope...
ahh, relays, fuse box front off, pull the first yellow one, BINGO.. feck, now no ignition power AT ALL accessories yes, but no ignition...

after 3/4 of an hour trying to fault find, conceed defeat, and call RAC. uber fast response, he was there in 10 mins, as he pulls up I thinks, "ill check the ignitions switch"
Bleedin main power spade had come off, so as quick as he arrives, Mr RAC man goes, which is good as he admited "I aint gotta clue on these"

Still a knackered relay, but swapped it with one of the other yellow ones, and no problem now...

wifey with you?

MOT'd it... passed with 2 minors...

1. Oil leak (it's a landy)
2. minor leak from exhaust (due to crushing the pipe on a rock after learning to fly in Morocco, a few hits with a hammer got it open again, but, it does need replacing)

Can't grumble at that :D

After swapping the rear shocks last week with super gaz ones, one of the poly bushes fell out of the box and quite literally shattered so I got a free replacement from Brookwells only to find that the one that didn't break has fallen apart and disappeared so they will be getting a phone call for the second time. Must be a dodgy batch of polyurethane I guess?

Well, finished off my roof console and fitted. Nice to have it all up out of the way. Now my mate is after one. Start on that tomorrow.
