Recently I've installed a new swivel and seals etc on the NSF

Today I've been working on the NSR:
Fitted new upper shock mount after shearing the old one.
Fitted new spring seat and retainer
'modified' a brand new brake shoe to stop it fouling the adjuster snail and it now fits and works.
Fitted new shoes.
Fitted new drum
Refitted the shock & spring
Refitted road wheel.

About to remove the NSF brake pads which are apparently not for my year car and refit a new set which are correct.
(Incorrect with tabs / correct have holes in the back plate)

Then I'll drop it off the ramp and turn it around for the next jobs.

Removed most of the offside axle and driveshaft bits to get to the swivel - struggling with the bolts attaching the swivel to the driveshaft. Drowned them in penetrating oil for next time.

Removed the offside rear drum and shoes. Found a siezed piston which took a screwdriver across the slot and copious amounts of WD40 to get moving.
Found I can't undo the brakepipe attached to the piston. Oiled the union in the hope I might get it next time or it will be cut off and replaced.

So not a very productive day really

Changed the tyres from huge 11.50s that over-filled the arches to some nice chunky 205s.. Its much nicer to drive now aswell!

if you hit tube between 2 hammers one used as anvil around and covering all the area of tube that has joint threaded into with some penertrating oil it will become loose enough to turn if done enough

Started fitting my Terrafirma +2" lift kit.
Spent three hours on it after work this evening (just come inside now), and only managed to get one corner done :doh:

GT85 definitely did its job though, bolts/nuts all came out without shearing, but it was still tough going.
Was fun though, no spring compressor to hand, so used a couple of ratchet straps :D Redneck for the win :D
