Lost brakes this morning. Found a pad had escaped the right front and pistons leaking big time. New discs pads and calipers.anaged to wedge a full with intercooler in too, just need to wind up pump now. Oh it's a defender 130 300tdi.

not a lot, but me new suspension and shocks came today.

Nearly squished it with a bloody huge lorry as it wouldnt go into second gear on a roundabout eeek!!!

Stood looking at the rear door of my Discovery wondering why it would not open??? Google = Common fault on 98 TDI, remove LR Badge, push handle in, WD40 work back and forth, job done!! Happy days from a LR Novice....

Finally got my blooming Airbgs swapped, see how long these last before I go to coil conversion

Went on a rust hunt again today and decided to remove the body completley as it's fecked!

Sheared off the banjo bolt on the injector.

This gave me the opportunity to sample lunchtime drinking.

Last week I painted up a new Britpart rear door and some galvanised cappings. Fitted them. Paints not the best but it was my first time spraying so im actually quite pleased. Just need to clean up and paint my crossmember now. Also need to paint the hinges and fit the middle hinge but the pins broken so waiting on bits.

Made a new snorkel and fitted it today, because the one that was on it looked ****e. Got the safari top off ebay for £26 and I had the rest lying around so I think it looks good for the cost, but it did take me about 6 hours.All I need to do now is get a new piece off tube to connect it to the air cleaner.

took out intercooler from the 110 200tdi and cleaned with white spirit
replaced standard hoses with them nice green silicon ones..looks good but made no bloody difference.

Got my tracking done - matey said it was bloody miles out! What a difference it's made - it's like having a new Landy.

Fitted Goodridge hoses all round and bled all the crappy old brake fluid out.

Raked out a couple of lbs of rust from my door bottoms

Need to get 2 new rear doors methinks.

On the plus side, I got my rear wash wipe working

took boot carpet out to check full extent of rust. wish i hadnt. new boot floor me thinks come pay day.
straightend up spare wheel cover coz it wasnt level and annoyed me.
Febreezed imterior as previous keeper smoked.. i don't
t-cut driver door to cover scratch mrs did ggrrr

changed the wheels from RRC with 80 profile tyres to discovery with 60 profile (feels like i'm sat on the floor now)

installed new stereo

found out that round town my disco goes into limp mode

called it a day!!!!

You got a pic? it might be cheaper/easier to patch it.
