Funny, my mate said the same thing to me. He was a bit flabbergasted when I did it in 5 mins without taking the airbox out. Granted it was fiddly, but once you've done it once, you can kind of feel the knack.

Same for both 2.2 petrol and 1.8 petrol, never tried it on a diesel.

Oh, and took the broken rear door handle off me freelander, glued it all back together, then araldited over the joints inside the handle. Okay it ain't perfect, but better than £65+ for a newun. Then fixed it all back and tickety boo.

Are you on about the old shape or new shape zafira? The old shape you can just about get your hand in. The new shape doesn't have a gap.;)

Checked lights, oil levels, water levels, air filter, put a load of strops, chains and other recovery gear in and bolted the Hi-Lift to the rear, ready for tomorrows green laning trip. Shouldn't need any of it 'cos they're not much worse than any farmers lanes, but I'd rather have it and not use it than not have it and need it.

Also got round to sorting my CB out, had to re-solder connections to the microphone to get it to work properly, but all seems good now.

... and put some diesel in ... ;)

Took the head off, gasket gone between 3 and 4, head v slightly warped and some of the waterways are blocked up (the ones between the holes for the rods).

At least I know what the problem is now!

Checked n topped up all me levels.aldos fix ed this before:

Sounds quite dear for a fuel pump? Sure the £250 quote wasn't including labour?

Unless your motor is a spangly new Disco, RR or Freelander then i guess it's about right.

Went in it, drove to stocky, picked up a protein skimmer for our tank, drove back ;) easy day

oh and got ****ed off cos the iso cable on me stereo is knackered and the permanent live keeps goin on and off, need a nooo one

Sorry mate thought you had an old 90 for a minute. Stands to reason a fuel pump for a newer vehicle like a Td5 is gonna cost a fair bit more, chances are if you bought it from the web you'll have saved yourself a fair bit anyway. Better than the £250 the garage were asking already! Hope you get it sorted :)

went out to have a look at the damage from some night time off roading last night.
was driving along some tracks on a site near plymouth, the ruts were nearly 2 feet deep at times, mate was giding me but manage to cumple the front of the left wing under the headlight suround, putting a few cracks in that as well.

oh well you live and learn dont u, think im gonna get it as straight as possible instead of replacing it. but did get to test the new steering guard out :)

drove it back from The Response groups annual bash, which was held at n hotel with camping/caravan site at the rear. Got totally sloshed and crashed in a friends pikeywagon. Just got to cure my hangover now :(

Took mine 110 for a nice drive of 100 kms, at the end of one way, the temperature was shooting up in the red. Opened the bonnet and saw that part of the top hose had come loose. Fixed it and added water while the engine was running and came back to town.

Had a great drive.
