bloody things came with fixing bolts that were 2" too long
on the other side took me ages to cut the excess off with a junior hacksaw  got a inverter in the cab that runs the notebook for memory map, thought it would'nt run the 4.5" grinder i had as the battery was flat as a terd (had to jump start off the 110 ) .
got ****ed off with the hacksaw so thought i'll see if it'll run the grinder with a few revs :D

:D guess that something else to take along laning with a short extention lead and a few blades :D

got an 1800watt jobbie in mine.........can run most of my woodwork tools off it  just in case someone needs a quick wardrobe knocking up when laning :confused:

sounds way too much like a busmans holiday fer my liking :D

i wont put me roof rack on the 110 cuz if its on there i get asked to hump gear around on it :D

Bought the 4th Engine for it in a year.... Getting quite quick at it now! Pain in the arse with dark evenings, but I have spotlights :D

1st Engine, 19J went bang with a split pistion and a hole in the side of the block.
2nd Engine, 19J was breathing very heavily.
3rd Engine, 200TDi needs a rebore and a set of rings and pistions.
4th... Tbc...

Removed 19j by 10 on Saturday , stripped the bit off that I needed, fixed them tithe 200, done the clutch, hd arm and frust bearing. And got the engine in and a couple of bolts in round the back before it missed it down.
Neighbour dint look happy as he was supposed to be doing it, but he still not got his tool back yet, so fekkit I done it.
Sunday morning I had a little hangover but a can of redbull sorted that out.
Managed to do a bit more, wired it up bled it up and started and moved it!
But :( somehow I have lost an engine mount rubber?? **** knows where it is, I have searched, everywhere. I had to use a piece of wood with bolt through it as a temp mount. Crane has to go back today.
lost steering pump banjo nut and top fuel filter banjo.
So gotta buy some of them anorl. Bah so a mixed result for me, if it hadn't rained and I didn't lose some bits I reckon I could have got it done over the weekend.
Oh well, it will be done, finally very soon :D
Yay

was on my way to go and pull an orange 4x4 transit van out of some mud with mine but the driver didn't answer his phone. When he eventually rang me back it was to tell me that he had a tractor with him to do it instead.:doh::doh:

Never mind.... I still got paid an hours overtime to drive about in mine.:)

Not just me then, I'm on the third:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

Put mine through the control technic which is the same as the M.O.T over here in France.
It failed on one point. They could not see the chassis number stamped on the chassis. I think it got buried when I waxyoled it. I have to get it stamped which is just a matter of going to my local garage. The only advisory was to do with the seating. Mine is registered as three seats. However I took one out and put a cubby box in.
I thought not bad for a 21 year old truck.

Managed to immobilise mine today:mad: Rear brake light's a bit dodgy so I thought I'd solder it:cool: problem is I'm not that good. Anyway put it back in & checked whether it works; blew the fuse & 'cause it's an auto it won't move now as every time I touch the brakes I blow another fuse.

What's plan B?
