not done nowt to the disco for a few days now, as its been ****ing down on and off, and since i retired, i refuse to have a garage for my cars again, as i spent most of my adult years in a garage building then racing "cars"
so I bought a disco 200dti..
oh how I miss my garage again....hmmfff

At last found where my oil leak was coming from. It wouldn't leak on tickover only on load so took awhile to find Damn oil filter had come loose

I did notice a large oil patch on your drive when I drove past recently ... resembles the one I have at mine

Fitted a new fuel lift pump, so no more drips on the driveway and some of these RDX Wing Top Vents Snow Guard LandRover Defender 90/110 | eBay

apparently they keep that cabin warmer in winter........we'll see lol

New(to me) V8 on engine frame in garage stripped down to block with crank and pistons waiting for a gasket set, then robbing all the good bits off V8 in Disco which is nearly ready to come out.

Make one good engine out of the two as the one in the car has a suspected cracked liner and a leaking rear main seal.
Then just build up the one on the engine stand and pop it in when I 've removed the old one

The I've gotta sort out the water leak into the Disco 2, water leaking out the upper seatbelt mount on n/s and also dripping through the roof lining in the boot so it looks like the roof lining is coming out and I've ordered some tiger seal, sunroof seals and some epoxy resin as I suspect the sunroof drain hole tubes may well be broken, never a quiet day off with a Discovery!

took out my old Window mechanism......



and took out the "new" one to fit........



except it doesnt the slides and sliders are different and wont fit

Anyone got one like the old one ?

Had to buy a new battery, I thought I may have some current drain after fitting the alarm/imobiliser a couple of weeks ago but when I measured it there was only 10ma drain, so off to Euro car parts for 64 quids worth of Varta's finest.

Didn't do nuffin to poor Larry today, missus said I had to fix up the spare room, bitch, but I did order new head lights, side lights, tail lights and indicators
