a new motah mhm.:nopics:

tiz a green!! disco 200TDi - just about bog standard 'cept for a tubular front bumper and breather extensions (now). It aint nuffink speshul.
120K miles - major mechanicals seem OK. but heres a pic - just in case yu is interested. apparently had a noo rear floor, new clutch - needs a little bit of TLC (rear washer didnt work) and a set of cheapy MT's on the front, but not a bad buy - will do for general green laning - nothing serious.

Got my noo front and rear axles for Tufftee, gearbox and Tbox be here in a week or so, then I can strip and rebuilt them.

A wee update...
So far ah've changed the replacement ****part top steering uj 'cos it was crap and had a fair bit of play in it. Got the shop to check it incase ah was bein' paranoid and he agreed it was fecked, he exchanged it for a Bearmach one.
Fitted Bearmach one to find it was pretty much the same! Went back to shop, he checked it again and agreed it was faulty, so ordered a genuine one (not cheap!)
Fitted genuine one and it seems good for now.
Was givin' the collapsable steerin' column a wiggle and seems like the bottom one has gone now!! Ordered new genuine one today and hopefully it should be here on Friday. Checked out the price of a new genuine c/s shaft because the one ah used was an original from the white bus and thought it might be gettin' past its best at 18 years old... Decided to leave that for the moment because ah don't have a spare £200 odd quid lyin' about as got road tax and insurance to get this month! Was given a price for an OEM one at £75 though, but it can wait just now.
As for the steering box thing... the shop had a poke about and said that there was nothing to worry about and they have never had anyone compain/ return any of NPS boxes. Ah wasn't quite convinced so stopped off at me local garage for a second opinion and they said ah shouldn't be worried about it either. By the way, both said if the box was fecked then there should be oil leakin' from the 'dodgy' bit. Ah'll see what's what when ah change the bottom uj and c/s column.
Ah did happen to notice today summit a bit odd tho' when the shop was lookin' for a genuine bottom uj tho'... There was two identical blue boxes with uj's in but one had an Allmakes label on it and the other a Bearmach one, and both uj's looked identical.......wonder if they both use the same supplier but one charges more for the pleasure....;)

Well... we can say it was today, as I only got home at 1am after being stuck on the plains for 4h.

Got a bit too adventurous...got stuck in a mud bath, water up to the seats, over the center console, etc, etc...
Never switched the engine off, after a drive around switched it off and the immob packed in, just wouldnt disarm...a mate too me back home 30min drive each way, to get a spare imob keyfob as the one I had with me got wet.... back to the plains, no luck, still didnt work.
Had to find the imob box, opened it and..... loads of mud and water in, after cleaning, drying it and wd40, the landrover came back to life....
Now all I have to do is clean all the mud...suppose is a job for today..

dont dispair as you do have a Rangie....

Well tried to fix the dash trim where it was broken as much as I could. cleaned up all the messy wires behind the centre console. Opened the unit that displays all the parameters like indicator, heater etc pulled out all the wires and cleaned every connector and then gave it a blast of contact cleaner spray.

Regreased all the cables & springs on the clutch, brake. So no more squeaky clutch, finally.

Today I thought it would be a good idea to sort out the crap in the back of my landy. I took everything out and had it all on the ground around my landy and it then decided to **** down.:mad::mad:

It's now all in my shed waiting for me to sort it out at a later date.
