What have you done to your Landie today.

Removed front speakers that were very much past their best (still damp from ages ago) replaced with better items and moved the mark on my wellies down an inch to prevent them getting wet again. Jai

Just replaced the altinator.......



Still struggling getting the last bolt off the ****ing starter motor.

Altinator has taken all of 20-25 minutes.

Starter motor has taken from 8am this morning, and I still cant get the ****ing thing off!

started the half rebuild :doh:,
Did a full oil change, removed and blanked the EGR, replaced the turbo hoses with silicone ones, replaced the steering damper with a de-carbon, fitted new EBC brake pads on the front, replaced the rear bumper light with the rotten terminals for a new one(from land rover parts shop, impressed wasent dear and even came with new bulbs, pity the black surround had some silver overspray but still well impressed) and changed the fuel filter, just waiting on the rest of the parts in the post, mainly the springs and new bolts to go with the new shocks and bushes that are waiting to go on, oh and the new ignition lock so I can start it first time every time instead of waiting for it to let me turn the key when it's ready LOL

Took mine for a prolonged test drive across Salisbury plain to make sure my fuel cooler bypass and turbo wastegate were working properly. I even let Dorset Vogue have a test drive and nuffink broke so it must be ok.

I just got home from sorting out Widgets garden we went for a drive down some lanes in Lambourne in his series 1 (1951) 80" and he let me drive it was great. My landy still leaks oil

set out to go to asda found i had lost my diesel cap still got a tank full had to buy a replacement till i get a locking one tomorrow......

after 13 hours of trying to get one of the starter mptpr bolts undone, I finnally got it undone.

So thats altinator and starter motor today.


Tomorrow will be replacing the air filter that I replaced last week for another new one, (as this new one got fubared at Frickley on Sunday), cleaning out my airbox, jet washing the engine bay, rad, intercooler and interior, and scraping / pressure washing all the crud off from underneath.

I'm going to have to get a snorkel next week too.

finished putting new blend motors in,now it all works,yippeeeee,also went hot air ballooning,absolutely feckin fantastic.

put roof tent on ,hitched the wee trailer on and now am off camping

smashed rear passenger window with a hammer, cleaned interior of glass, driven 120 miles, visited two dealerships, ordered a new battery and finally changed all 4 wheel caps.

Now going to light the BBQ and get drunk.

Happy days.

cleaned all the insides of the windows cos they were filthy.Fitttedme uj onto the prop.Decided it was too hot to fit the prop, run the engine for a bit to stop the battery dying

cleaned out all the food jnr left in there yesterday and all the crap i'd left in there plus 2 dirty nappies and fark knows how many empty packets and bits of disco !

thought about fitting my uj......thats as far as i got !

nowt but yesterday i had about 380 dead chicken in the back

Gave it a nice pressure wash and cleaned all the muck out. Topped up all the oils. Now to give it a nice polish tomorrow.

Thought about emptying some firewood and crap out the back but decide it was too hot so I took it for a spin instead.

Drove mine tae go and pick up a set of doors....

fitted the dash and centre console back together after fitting new blend flap motor,now it still wont work properly,bastid feckin car.

Washed mine today, Fixed the side light issue, and attempted to fit my snorkel. Gave up in the end! Crap instructions and left the tools i needed at work. :frusty:
