thanks for telling me you was in cheddar you could of stopped at the sweet shop for me the only place i can get blackcurrant and liquorice twists. would of saved me bridge tolls

think the 90 we looked at wants an ecu after the various damaged wires are repaired and earth's sorted.

It doesn't need an earth. It has a handbrake.

I know place that is very very good at fixing ECUs. Give me a shout if you want their details.

under the housing held on with 6 bolts, where the shaft goes in top of box.
lifts off when bolts out, grub screw locates in a hole in shaft.
disco bolts can be awkward to access, fender not sure about but floor easier to remove.

under item 3.
item 6 has the grub screw, item 4 has the hole.

Ooo ok so I just have to pop the cover off and adjust it?

Fitted catch can and new air hoses to and from turbo on 1989 TD.

Around £50 for the lot, looks much better IMO.

Pleased with it.

My list since last weekend,
New door tops,
Cleaned out the hazard and fog light switch,
Fitted new numberplate,
Fitted new rear lights,
Cleaned, prepped and repainted rear cross member,
Unseized rear o/s wheel,
Fitted new rear O/s damper,
Cleaned and painted chassis around area.
Removed and cleaned indicator stalk connections.

Today's jobs:
remove rear wheels, clean and spray white.
Refit indicator stalk,
Replace rear n/s damper,
Clean and prep the chassis area around that for painting.

Dropped the tranny oil - all half a mugful!! Nowt suspect on the drain plug! :yay:

Replaced with noo 80/90 - much more funnily enough!

Also did same to front diff, lots more black stuff out, not watery, but nice and thick. Replaced with noo!

No leaks after a 10 mile pootle home from the yard - tranny lots quieter, but still jumped out of hi once - pondering looking at that grub screw mentioned earlier!!

Put more petrol in it

Decided to do rear wheel bearings.
Whilst stripping noticed pads were fubared and one of the wheel nuts was rounded (muppet at tyre place I reckon)
So nipped over to Craddocks for some pads and a few spare wheel nuts before carrying on.
Remembered to jet wash it first this time, much easier

Bought it a diesel heater

I hate my land rover at this moment in time. That is all
