Gave the fuel tank vent cover another couple of coats

Replaced all my interior, with the exception of the sunvisors. I need some news ones after a water leak in the workshop roof ruined mine.

Fitted all my new door seals and windscreen top rubber.

Finished fixing my headlamps.

Realised that my rear wiring loom cover doesn't fit flush as the floor is rippled and the plastic pipe is slightly bent. As Stikaflex isn't cheap, I need to pick up some silicone sealent tomorrow, (much cheaper for the amount that I will need).


Tomorrow is steamclean and waxoil at some tiny back street place that does mainly trucks and buses. Also need to pick up the last few parts from Gordon Lamb Land Rover. Thanks for all your help Paul, and thanks for the generous discount.

Friday I need to collect all my tools from RT Racing. Thanks guys, fantastic job as always. RT Racing -

Over the weekend I need to tidy up the wiring in the front footwells and replace the two plastic panels that hold it all in place.

On Tuesday I need to go back down to RT Racing to inspect the waxoiling and touch up where needed.

Then shes finally done.

Replaced both rear brake discs and pads and a rear (seized) caliper, then I washed it for the first time in 8 months.

No, but your explaination before that sounds easy enough. I can see the plug where the switch goes so will take out a light and find the other end.

Replaced the pipe from the reservoir to the PAS pump. It had worn through where it was rubbing on the engine...

Spent 2 hours cleaning it ready to wax oil underneath before mot.Another 2/3 hours in garage tomorrow that will please her indoors

got the fooker stuck today :doh:knew i should have left the mt's on
had to get shot of around a tonne of sub soil with the ifor williams tipper backed into a hollow in our ickle field but not where i wanted it then spent 10 minute trying to get it where i did want it , then gave up and dumped it where it was still took some getting out empty .
jeez those general grabber road tyres are shyte! on a bit of wet grass

oh the fact i had about best part of 2 tonne hangiong off the back in soggy ground had no part in it i spose :doh:

Can you tell me how you managed to cut it fine enough to snort? Last time I tried I nearly choked on a 2" square piece that got lodged in my nostril.

Put a new wiring loom on my GKN Overdrive unit. Was worried that the last guy ripped out the original loom and bodged in a few old cables to get it working because teither the controller or the speed sensor was fooked.
It was a £140 risk bujtying the new loom but it works fine, now my overdive only engages over 30 mph, back to design spec, which is how I like it.

If anyone wantys to snort the bodged up wiring loom I took off, I'll chop it and post it. For flavour expect a nice cross between old hard copper wiring with a piquant of EP90. The biggest rush will be the saving of the £140.

Drove it to me mates farm and went shooting, got 3 wood pigeons but no rabbits tonight unfortunately.

Took it to be washed.

Took it to be waxoiled.

Drove over the boot cover by mistake, breaking it.

Picked up a few more bits from the local Land Rover dealer.

Returned it to the workshop for the waxoil to harden over the weekend.



Still to do;

Tidy up the wiring in each front footwell and replace the trim that goes over it.

Finish painting the fuel tank vent valve cover and fit it.

Silicone in place the rear wiring loom protector and paint it, also touching up a few small areas inside.

Buy a new set of sun visors and the nylon inserts to fit it.

Buy a new boot roll cover.

Buy a new rear 3/4 interior panel, as mine is a bit butchered.

Adjust the handbrake.

Sort out the leak from my oil filter.

Valet the inside, as after the last Pay & play day and 8 months inside a workshop, it is minging.
