Washed it for the first time.
She's been in my garage since I bought her while fixing all the bits and bobs that needed doing. I had to power hose the moss and algae first but now at last I can see the car I bought, and guess what? I'm really pleased how rust free, dent free and clean she is. :)

Started getting my nudge bar ready to fit but as it was removed by a cack handed heathen all I've managed to do is repair the damaged fixings and order some new stainless bolts

Adding a voltmeter - straight from the battery (via a fuse) so that if car plays up I can instantly see if it is battery or a high resistance lead / contact somewhere !

These are cheap, cool (I think) and fit in the blanked hole on RHS of steering column (opposite side to headlight leveller). Photo when done, but here is link

Not got shares or any interest in seller btw !!!

keep yo jump leads connected for when you flatten the battery.

Today I removed and cleaned my 'Engine Grunt Removal' valve and gave it a clean ( common title EGR valve). What a dirty little thing it was too. Need to do my inlet stranglehold ( oops, manifold) by the look of it soon too. Need to pop down to the local refinery to get bulk paraffin me thinks.
Wife didn't see me go on the test run, well she couldn't see me for the black smoke, realised I hadn't tightened the hose onto the EGR valve.
Test run 2 seamed to go OK.

Did exactly the same - loadsa black smoke and loss of power after manifold clean and EGR bypass fitted - shat myself - thought I'd buggered something - returned home and found the hose blown off the EGR bypass - Whew!!
I found 50/50 cellulose thinner and paraffin in the compressed air squirter thingy that came with my compressor was very effective on the manifold clean - alternating that with power washer got it sparkling inside.

Thanks dfossil for the thinners/paraffin idea, might give it a try int summer.

Fit a new window regulator, might get a repair kit, wire and plastic bits, and see how easy they are to fix.
Go for it, watch the video on Youtube and see how easy it should be then do it yourself and take 30 mins where he takes 5. :p
Still better than forking out 4 times the price for a whole regulator.
