Certainly is

some photos posted on my thread, but the videos up, will have to wait until I'm home and have decent broadband to upload them. 3G out on Skye seems to be faster than the local wifi anywhere!

I have photos from the exact same place you stopped. Can't see much though as it was blowing a hooley at the time.

No , the oil separator on its own Is half the price ! You can clean the pcv housing with white spirit , my local bmw dealer at the time had no listing for the single item

Today I mashed the sump guard up by hitting a rock off road. Not properly checked the damage out yet

Nice tyres , but you do know that 205/70/15 tyres are 1" smaller in diameter than a 195/80/15 tyres.

But surely for sake of 1/2inch extra ground clearance the wider tyre will give abit better traction

Don't you have to cut away a small part of the Land Rover housing to get the BMW part to fit ?

I had heard the same thing but I didn't have to. Perhaps there are two different designs?

Its a direct fit, one bit out, one bit in, new seals, job done

New seals confused me (by that's not hard!)
One didn't look like it fitted so I assumed it have a choice of two, then I realised it had just been squashed in the box!
Popped it in warm water & it returned to shape.

Yes maybe, can't remember if it was the housing or the filter that needed surgery !!

There's no filter on the BMW part

There's 2 new seals that come with the kit as well as a little rubber ring too. The seals are shaped to fit in the groove on the housing.

No. It's a complete new assy.

It's a bit of a pig to fit I found, I guess you could take part of the injector stuff off, but I used ignorance and brute force and it won the day.

The first one BMW supplied me was the original LR part, so they exchanged it for the one I wanted -the cyclone one.

That word cyclone is the reason I have never done this mod, in my experience cyclone seperators or coallescers (as this is) require a good flow rate to work & I just can't see where that flow comes from in a healthy TD4 engine with minimum blow by of the piston rings, I know its a pain but I prefer to wash out the the foam one every now & then, it blocks up so I know its working .

I thought it was the process in which it separates the air & oil, returning the oil back into the engine whilst allowing the crank case to breathe?
