That Capt Tolley’s is no joke. It gets deep into the finest of cracks to seal it up. I need to do my windscreen seal with it.
I syringed the Capt. Trolley's stuff in which seamed to work great. The amount of places they leak does ya head in, I thought I'd cured the roof leaks last year when I sealed the top of the screen/gutter corners/roof bar gaskets & resealing the front sunroof frame to roof seal/blocked rear sunroof drain tubes (where the biggest leaks were from) but this latest small leak was above the C pillar & running along the length of the truck inside. Lets hope that's the end of the roof related leaks & I can get the lining back in this weekend I can then move on to the front passenger footwell leak:rolleyes:.

After a wild camp in the D3 last October in Dorset spent the weekend on wild camp no. 2 in the Ceredigion region absolute middle of no where with zero 4G signal ( bliss )

D3 did the 240 mile round trip with ease and me and my youngest lived out the back of the D3 over the bank hol weekend, she ran like a dream.

We went greenlaning for the first ( blown away how good these things are off piste ) , magnet fishing and a bit of walking. Also watched 5am sunrises

Making memories and leaving no trace

Love the thing

2” extended arches fitted - super hot today, need a rest now!!

In the last week I've changed both front and rear out put flanges plus related seals, cleaned oil out of the handbrake drum, replaced the shoes, checked the hub bearings, tightened the fronts and noticed some more jobs that need doing. Noisy fan bearing and seeping swivel seal to name 2 of the many. 1 day if I'm lucky I'll fix more problems than I find.

Probably not, as long as you have spring compressors and drop the axle as far down as possible. My issue was the new springs as they were so much longer!

I'm confused... the turrets, undo the top damper bolt and then the 3 turret bolts and lift it out of the top? 15mins a side?

Turrets yes, but How are you going to get the seats off?! They’re under the welded housing so you’ll need to compress or drop the spring to remove those…. Unless I’ve missed something

Unless the “new seat” referred to new seats already fitted, in which case I’ll go with your 15mins per side, although I’m sure my turrets have 4 bolts

Sorry ment to say 4 not 3! .... I missed the seats bit was thinking just turrets! Knew I was missing something somewhere!
:)
Well one way or the other one of us is on the right track!! I’ve spent too long under the wheel arches this week looking at the bloody front suspension - the HD shock turrets are a PIG to fit vs the original ones!!

Headed up and out to Bentham to pick up 5 18" sport alloys for the Freelander

Clutch went on the M61 and I had to be recovered from Chorley back into the shire, it has lasted 101k miles so cant really complain

I am on the hunt now for someone to replace both clutch and flywheel with LOF items

Got the roof lining back in & what a pain putting the five rear air con vents back in with new foam surrounds I had to whittle up took flipping ages o_O. Just got to put the boot plastics in tomorrow :).

Hey Andy,

looking good, is it a recovered or repainted roof liner?

I found the biggest pain the arse area was around the front seat belts
Morning, no it was a recovered, the place originally quoted me £150 but when I picked it up he only wanted £80 :). When I gave him it I said there was no hurry as he said he was really busy so it took him a while!

I have arranged for it to be recovered from my house next Wednesday and be taken to Auto Defiance for a LOF clutch items and a new LUK DMF to be installed

Hopefully wont have to worry about the clutch then for a good while
