What Freelander Have You Got Poll (version 2)

Speaking of Hippos, I'd say Bear Gryllis could have done some marketing for the Freelander 1, particularly the 3 door with the open top, he could hang in the back then swing out of it in to the trees as it drives through some jungle somewhere. Speaking of which, I actually once stared at my Hippo, lol it'd be my black 1.8 one, and from a distance imagined a smartass Hippo looking out... and yes that's definitely what it looks like ... lol I even thought it winked until I realised it was the sun glare suddenly bouncing off the headlights..

Too much smoking of questionable substances!

We've owned our 2001 Td4 ES Auto for just over three years now, apart from the first 12 months of putting right problems that the previous owners failed to do, it's been a cracking motor not missing a beat for the last two years.

Still got the 2004 TD4 auto I bought 4 1/2 years and 56k miles ago...

My V6 made way for a D3, which after 18 months, made way for my current Freelander 1 SE auto.

Only the good ones have L series

Still got the Td4 but also have a Freelander 2 i6 HSE. The difference between them is the difference between having a pot noodle or a sirloin steak. Totally worlds apart. I now find the Td4 tedious to drive and wonder how I ever used it to drive hundreds of miles packed with holiday gear or camping equipment. The i6 was a revelation on our last holiday. So refined.

An i6 - there's one I'd like to try, just to see what it's like. Rare as rocking horse poo though...

So have I, my wife has the same as me.

I have a working one - but I'm doing upgrades at the moment, so I'll probably have a broken one to very shortly.
