What do you use to prevent leather seat damage from child car seats?

Of course I'm talking about permanent indentations rather than the occasional spill.

Any recommendations would be greatfully acknowledged.

Reckon as a helpful reply, I had it pretty much covered.

i reckon

depending on the shape of the bottom of your child seat you coulpd try pipe insulator cheap as chips.Otherwise id fasion something out of foam/polystyrene/the like that'll stop the leater strecthing so much.

I think even with pipe insulator or foam,that the seat will still leave a permanent indentation ( or at least semi permanent after all the child isn't always going to be in that particular child seat )

Depending on how easy the seat is to remove I'd be tempted to remove it when not in use, and hopefully at some stage you'd be able to use a booster anyway, which is far less damaging.

For anyone with the remotest interest in the original thread, I've decided to give a couple of these a try.

May be useful to someone else in the future.

Different car..

will still leave indents or strecth marks on the leather, personally i would make up a quick wooden base under the child seat thus putting less pressure on the leather due to the weight being dispursed, cover the wooden base in a thin layer of foam and get yourself down a fabric place and pick up a sheet on black vynal to go over the foam, bringin the wear down and still matching your interior, will take about 10 mins to mock up mate.
