That's a bit harsh, leave any battery to go flat and it may not recover.

I wouldn't expect that on a first discharge especially a so called new battery or a held in stock for ages old old but new;)

Maybe an old battery but that's not harsh by no means like me leaving the lights on a car just becuse I did that my new battery kaput takes a bit more than that its the older battery's than can't recover newer battery's cells are much stronger.

Depends how long it's been left flat.

Yes and cold conditions like leaving a battery on a concrete floor ect life expendency would be greater lifted of the floor and put on a shelf , in most cases owners don't leave their cars for months on end so that's Irrelevant.
 
It was left for about 3 days when it first died. It never recovered, I tried for ages to revive it. :/

[edit: That includes my local garage putting it on his charger for a day to see if a boost charge will help at all. It didn't.]

Took it back from the garage (her 2nd home) with fixed "Honking" AC and a new spare key... (Succeed to locked the dog in the car with the engine on last week).
 
Went to remove the suspension pump,EAS,to test the power of the air output but the battery is flat. Put the battery on charge and now sitting like the expectant father for it to charge up.
 
Went a run today to keep the battery charged. Got an annoying whistle coming from the nearside somewhere. checked that the windows were closed and sunroof aswell. Will have a better look later sometime.
 
Stripped front console, and did the "self tapper screw" fix on distribution flap and all working ok now. Also did an oil and filter change, hoovered the interior, purchased a full set of wheel arch protectors too :) I use the car every day for work (P reg 4.6 HSE with LPG)

it could be a door seal. mine used to leak up the top by the a pillar.
 
Cut out rot on my sills and welded some patches in. Very satisfying welding in clean metal and sweeping away rusty bits left over. Still, would rather be driving the thing!
 
Finally got round to painting brake calipers (Chavvy I know !)....

All door pillars are off and ready for second attempt of covering but I don't think I have the aptitude, tools or correct materials....just to make it more difficult....

Gun rack fitted...

Dog guard fitted...
