"engine is running lumpy after hitting a puddle"

FFS..

Intake trunking is full of mud, seems he's had some fun offroad!

Went to change my tyres at ATC, on the way there the road was blocked! So had to drive all the way around, got there he almost finished changing them and I asked if he does AC, he asks for cash, got him down to £40, drove to the Garage (tyres are great by the way) fills it up, looked at the diagnostic ticket and it says "fluid recovery 583g" so it was over 1/2 full (and blowing hot air) and "NO OIL" and I can only guess the garage that filled it last time put no pag in it at all, so it's been running dry, vac pressure test was fine no leaks, fill it up with gas and oil 1100g of gas, and its still blowing warm air and the book is coming up, its sounds like something is engaging, like the I can hear the rev change, so I think the clutch is doing its thing, can anyone advise me what going on? And can I for it? Or is it a replacement only? Thanks (bit long-winded I know) and on the way back.... I forgot the bloody road was closed :(:(:( some picks for you

Tempted to throw them in the back on my RR the right size as well!20200520_145506.jpg 20200520_144754.jpg

Clutch could be slipping on the compressor as could the belt.

The Colza (OIl seed Rape) pollen season is over so I power washed both P38's and the Transit to remove the layer of sticky yellow pollen and the Lichen that had started to grow on it. I can't say they are sparkly clean, just a bit less dirty. Knackered now.

How do I go about fixing that? The clutch I mean? Wack it with a hammer?
If you look at the compressor pulley, the outer bit with the belt on rotates when the engine is running, the centre of the pulley only rotates when the clutch engages so you should be able to see it start and stop. If the inner does not rotate, assuming the HEVAC is calling for aircon, then the clutch will need adjusting, this is done by removing shims!
If the compressor has been running without oil, it could be knackered.

You may well have enough i would do one one at a time only cutting off the roll when one end is connected if you know what i mean, how far are you from Chinnor , Bedlow as i am out that way today working.

Not far at all! I'm maybe 4 miles from where the Prestwood Steam Rally is!

How long did it take to do them? I'm on a staycation this week. Supposed to be resting but thinking maybe knock the brake pipes out and tgen have a rest.

The box contained a nice pair of rear shockers, as i might of mentioned when i did the fronts, there are quite a few opinions on what shockers work..

Boge is OEM and Bilstein is the recommended!!

Look at these beauties!

the ride is sublime now, the old ones could be compressed with 1 finger!!

they were doing nowt!

When driving this thing around I noted the ride was horrible you felt every lump, even running over a pebble you felt through the entire car!!

Perfectly smooth roads felt like you were driving over a ploughed field
But after taking her out today with the new shocks I couldn't believe the difference

The ride was incredibly soft and supple - originally it was very jarring!

It no longer bangs over bumps the ride is constant.

Taking it over a piece of road i knew to be smooth, it felt like i was floating on "air" he he he!

Across a terrible road it felt incredibly composed and you couldn't feel any of the potholes,
