Took it to my local landy guy for a new droplink, would normally do it myself but for what he charged me it wasn't worth getting my hands dirty. Plus it's much easier to diagnose on a ramp.

Did a temporary repair on an old RV8, in a 1982 classic.
The oil pump drive gear had come adrift of the dizzy shaft. = No oil pressure.
Hammer and chisel scored the hardened shaft and gear, hammered them back together! Fnarr!!
Pikey engineering at best, new part on order.
Runs good now though, might leave it

No drive from gearbox could just be the transfer box.
Just came back from the local JLR garage, nice guys by the way. And mean that seriously.
They did the oil change, fitted my after market front propshaft and did a full check of the car. Besides the huge surprise that they fit customer provided aftermarket parts they also buy them, in my case the corroded fuel tank. Also the rear axle gaskets are shot and leak on the brakes. All in all that's it on urgent stuff. Will set me back in total including a new XE for a week by roughly 2k. Acceptable considering the fact that the last TÜV prep refurbishment of our 10 year old Peugeot 207 done by a free mechanic cost roughly have that, and that car had a lot less issues!
I will do the suspension myself so!

Finally got oil changed in both cars. Took it to local recycle site expecting same as last time (5ltres only at a time sir) Crikey helped me unload and pour into container. Aint it amazing when local paper runs an article about it slating them off

When I bought her home for the first time, there was no oil on the stick, turned out the oil filter had ruptured on the way home.

Took 4 litres to fill up!
Changed since, 20w50 VR1.
