The other day the car broke down with a lot of smoke from the engine. I know there is air getting in the fuel system and a lot of diesel getting into the sump. The front cam seal popped out and if I pop it in again it just comes out along with a lot of smoke. I have a new one along with a set of new injector seals and washers and camcover gasket. I took the cam cover off and run the engine for literally just a few seconds. Even though the engine didn't warm up there was smoke coming from the timing chain area.
Could this be caused by excess diesel in sump? Should I just change injector seals and washers and oil an see what happens?
