as long as they dont shove a k series engine in it it should be ok!!!!

drove one on the launch last year, was very impressive.

only had to recover one so far.

"noise from wheels"

I personally don't like it, there are a few issues with them at the moment, none too serious.............

glass roof water leaks, radio/nav issues, rear diff pressure sensor faults, transfer box breather leaks oil.

There are a few more and there are bullitens and service actions for most of them.

It's nowhere near as bad as the disco 3 was when it was first introduced.

They look crap for starters! Bland for a starting price of £21k

Go into your local showroom, and look at one next to the discovery. They are over sized, almost as high as a dicso.

I'd rather spend my money on a Nissan , X-trail, new ones are 150bhp, and you get 2wd.

Would even push my spending to a Pathfinder or Narvara.

Land Rover have lost the plot with their new range of vehicles. Whats the RR sport all about, looks like a crack dealing pimp wagon. Plus why are they fitting all the spare wheels under the chassis. If you've ever changed one you'll know that its a dirty job

Nope, happy with my 1.8 FL1.

There was nothing to rival the FL1 at the time of its release. It still looks good,

Anyone who is thinking about spending £21k and over on the FL2 should look at the alternatives, it practically looks Japanese anyway with the new styling.

My point is you get a whole lot more car for your money with the new rivals on the scene.

but you cant rival the green oval they are off roaders!! the rest are soft roaders !!!

Are you sure about that, the new X-trail has all the gizmos that the FL2 has, plus did I mention the 2wd drive option at the flick of a switch.

It would take a whole lot more than a green oval for me to part with £21k of my hard earned cash ;)

the new x trail n path finder have basicall no ground clearance . the freelander 2 looks cool as well as the disco 3 new defender and rangies

I have a "slitty" - it will do everything a Hippoo will do and a lot cheaper. Certainly a lot more reliably. OK so it aint a true serious orf roader - but I bin out wiv the TOSSERS in my slitty (X_Trail) and it coped surprisingly well - certainly dint disgrace itself when accompanying the defenders.
