Just thought I would share my recent experience, I live in Bulgaria but recently visited home (uk) to purchase a ES Disco 2001 model ready for the cold Bulgarian winter, its my first experience of owning one of these vehicles. Can I say travelling back to BG the Landy never missed a beat it cruised the 1,745 miles very easily and in great comfort, I travelled through several countries from Holland, Germany, Austria, Hungary,Romania into Bulgaria, before I left I read up on the best practice to drive the landy 65 mph for best economy, and it worked out just dandy, I actually paid out in fuel £355 but arrived in Bulgaria at my home with half a tank so I would say full trip £300 marvellous what a vehicle, just like to thank various members on this site for all your great advice prior to my jouney, What a great site, Thank You.

Congratulations for your(so far) perfect D2:clap2:...i subscribe to your statement that it's a brilliant vehicle, and i hope you'll be as patient as me or some others when the common issues will appear;)...cos they will:D, but with patiente and TLC they'll go away one by one and after that with a carefull preventative maintainance you'll have to buy just fuel and service items... i went through various sagas with mine at the beginning but fixed everything with NEW OEM parts and for the last around 50K miles i've driven it without any worries

I'm quite happy with mine too
I thought it was crap when I bought it i just kept finding things wrong with it
But when I look back the stuff that needed doing was only work with very little cost and now its done "ish" and i get to use it off road from time to time I'm happy I bought it
