I washed it with just water to get the mud of then a sponge to clean then another jet wash to get the soap off.

The carpet was slightly damp on the side of the tunnel were the heater vent is for your feet

What did you wash it with? Soap or chemicals?

Normally the antifreeze leave a green colour behind when it evaporates.

Usual culprits of water ingress:

Pollen filters (see Brain's draughtexcluder fix - 5 minute job)
Sunroof drains (haven't got one so going on hearsay)
Aircon drains popping off (5 minute job to check)
Heater matrix O rings (RangeRover.net has the how to, I think although there might be one on here too. Stealers will cost a fortune.)
Why would the antifreeze leave a green colour when the normal anti freeze is pink? Mine had a nice pink stain with pretty crystals:eek:

You guys are right not a lot of people want to do this job. But I remembered I have a warranty on the car so I'm going to see if I can claim [emoji28]

If it was me... Id rather do this job myself, yeah its fiddly, but will the student in the dealership/garage take as much care and time over all your plastic clips etc as you? ...? I doubt it....

Is it worth doing the heater matrix also do you think?
Only if you truly suspect it has a hole or is sufficiently corroded to warrant it....getting the matrix out on a RHD vehicle is a real pain...

If you are paying a garage to do the O rings, then maybe get them to replace the heater too, as they will dismantle the dash anyway, so while its apart they may aswell!!
