Well Ive done it!

Actually bought a freelander 1.8 petrol in lovely condition.....no mayo in expansion tank but slight hairline cracks! So replace the tank? Ok but with a cheapie off ebay or Landrover? Whats your opinion?

All tanks seem to be the same. I've had genuine and cheap version's last just as long. I use cheap (under £20 with cap) these days and replace when the fail.

What about a coolant level sensor? Worth fitting one? Cheers

Can do. It's easy enough to do.

My genuine bottle and cap lasted less time than a cheapie eBay one

Looking into fitting a polo one in the near future
