The air springs with the ally end caps can be a right pain in the arse..especially the rears at the top..been there got the T shirt!! Ally, ****e and steel don't mix at all, better than weld!!
As has been posted by others, good soaking with penetrating fluid (I prefer Plus Gas) overnight followed by brutal butchery, fuelled by a few pints of the "Black Stuff":beer2::beer2:...forget the delicate approach..is the way to shift them.
Good Luck and keep the strength up in your right arm !!

Just a comment. Lots of people on here use WD40 as a release fluid, it is NOT for that purpose. It is NOT penitrating oil. It is a water repellent and lubricant to prevent damp and was developed for NASA for that purpose. It repels water and damp from whatever it is sprayed onto. Plus Gas should be used for releasing rusted components. Warm vinegar or Coke is also useful in an emergancy but be sure to wash off the residue and retreat the area.

NASA eh?You sure about that? But a decent relase agent works much better.

Yes i think it was developed for the space programme. Undoubtedly some one will at this moment in time be Googling it to prove me wrong.

PS. Out of interest i have done it for them it was first developed as a water dispersant in 1953. WD 40 means Water Displacement 40th attempt. It was first used by the Corvair company to protect the outer skin of Atlas Rockets from corrosion. So there you go.

Lol!..... We all carry vinegar with us don't we. Now I know why those people steal vinegar sachets from Burger King!

I did mean if you have no Plus Gas or Easit about you. I did not expect that anyone would start to change their air bags if they get stuck in traffic outside Burger King.:):):)
