Welding

Hi all,

My 1987 90 needs welding on the top quarter of the passenger side of the bulkhead. The rest of the bulhead is in good condition, but this corner is very poor. Whilst I'm tempted to have a go at doing the welding myself, I'm unlikley to get it to look as good as it should and it's an obvious place so needs to look tidy. Before I go and buy all the gear, can anyone recommend a decent welder, ideally mobile, in the South Derbyshire sort of area. I could strip all the parts back and leave it ready to weld then.....

I can't recommend anyone where you are, but do know you can order pre-formed replacement sections to have welded in

i used the britpart replacement parts on my series an the were 1st made wit thicker metal than the original bulkhead an needed cutting so much to fit it would have been easier to make your own that why when my 90 needed replacing i made them myself an saved mysel alot of money an time expect tthe job to take a good day to cut out the rust on the inside as well out side an replace
