Hi all,

As the weather is beginning to warm up I'm now thinking ahead to this summers camping trips, provided I can get the disco through its MOT. It's failed on the rusty sills, so I was wondering if anyone has had similar work done and can give a ball park price. I've asked around a few local places but they all wanted more than the car is worth to do the work.

Alternatively, any kind souls out there fancy taking on the job (on my drive in Widnes) for beer tokens and all the bacon you can eat. I've already cut out all the rot so it will just be a few plates or fitting those eazyon panels that go over everything or the box section way. Any suggestions as to which is best?

Many thanks
Ben

I've just had my OS sill cut out and replaced with a YRM repair panel and B Post repair. Also replaced was the NS rear wheel arch. I supplied the parts. £240 cash. saved me a huge ball ache of a job - before people say buy a welder and learn to weld, I have and I can, it's just the wrong time of year and I don't have any inside space to work.

I dont have any inside space either and it is annoying welding in the rain. With tarp over disco. But got be done hasnt it. Works out cheaper in the long run. Be alright if mot run out end of summer and get it done in nice weather.
