Sorry to hear that the L322 BCU is just as fault prone as the P38 BECM Mr Hippo, hope you get it fixed.
Could it be something simple like the button on the key fob for releasing the boot is stuck in the open position!
What your describing is exactly what happens to my car if I accidentally press the open boot release on my key fob whilst turning the ignition on!
Try your other key?
Today has been warmer than the previous two days - could it be condensation in the BCU from the sudden colder weather or some other temperature related issue??Thanks for the advice dog face
tried other key, same story !
however today, went to work and realised when i got to there that i didnt experience the fault today ?!?!?
so shut off engine and tried again,... didnt bloody do it.
and for the rest of today its stopped playing up.
not going to be an easy one to diagnose lol
definitely still think my BCU is playing up, as going back now i remember that when leaving your keys in the ignition and opened the door i used to get a "keys in ignition" warning ? i haven't had that for weeks !
and it now tells me that my batteries are low in the fobs, however both fobs have had new batteries
maybe something on the dash switch is playing up ? i know there is a proximity reader that senses the chip in the key which gives the handshake with the ecu that it is the correct key.
hmmmm.. im getting there slowly

at least you have got a lovely shiney new front bumper to fit on that old tractor now lol
I was wondering the same. I think I have the same issue as the OP. Curious to know if changing the BCM fixed this.Hi all,
I'm sorry to bring up a topic from history, but can you please advise Hippo how you solved this?
Thanks!
