A few of us Essex laners went out today to see how deep the fords were and had some pleasant supprises.

Plenty of water today.

We had a Suzuki behind us that couldn't get through violets so they managed to get a strap onto my towbar and we pulled him all the way through. :)

The best part was that it was my wife driving our landy for the first time. :D

You sure Er1c hasn't seen this thread? He might think it's too wet to drive and that you'll destroy everyone's hard work in keeping lanes open ...

I can vouch for depth getting even better! ive been down there up to and lipping mywindscreen.. the first time i had to go on it i got a call from a mate saying he was stuck on a lane, didnt tell me the name so he said, oh by the way - when you reach water just keep moving and makea bow wave.. no warning on depth.. Bastard.. haha

This depth had the bonnet underwater a few times, luckily the deep parts are interspersed with shallow parts, so its not 1/3 mile underwater....
