Water Ingress?

Hi folks.

I'm sure this has been asked plenty of times but I can't find a search facility.

I have recently purchased a FL2 and have wet carpets on both the driver and passenger sides. The garage I bought the vehicle from changed the pollen filter and said it was saturated and that they checked the outlet pipe from the AC unit which they said was attached.

On a recent trip I had the AC set to full cold but started to gradually increase the temperature which resulted in the windscreen drastically misting up and water being blown up onto it when I increased the blower speed to clear the misting.

I'm not loosing any coolant so I'm happy it's not the heater matrix leaking so I'm hoping those with more knowledge of Freelander 2s can advise me of any other known causes.

I should say that when I took the battery cover off I noticed that I was staring straight through a hole in the bulkhead into the heater system. Is this correct, or should there be a cover or grill over the intake?

Any advice greatly accepted as apart from this problem I'm loving the vehicle.

Thanks in Advance,
David

Hi David.
If you have a sunroof then look to that for the water ingress, google the problem and I am sure it will throw up a few results for you ;)

Thanks Arctic2.

My mate has an airline at his place. I was going to ask him to use it on the drain holes to see if I could hear if the air is leaking at the connection between the sunroof and the drain pipe.
