Hi i am new here so first thing first HI.
I have a friend who has a 300tdi Discovery.
He has noticed that the boot keeps getting wet which in turn has caused the flooring to rust where the water is soaking in to the sponge.
He has had all the roof lining out re sealed all the windows and checked all the sunroofs but can't find where it is coming from.
It only goes in to the boot no where else.
Has anyone got any ideas.
Cheers
Eliot

Hi
Yeah it sounds like it's a common problem, for the rusty boot floors. and water leaking in. Mine leaks in through a speaker on the rear pillar. not had chance to really investigate furthur, but my guess would be that mines coming through body somewhere and creeping past speaker housing

Hi,along with every one else who owns a disco has had to contend with this problem..As well as checking all the obvious places it may well be worth running a bead of clear/black silicone sealant on the joint where the roof meets the body(under the roof gutter) and also apply a thin bead of sealer on the vertical joint where the rear panel (that contains the lights )meets the side panel.
Aloso if the old memory serves me right there is a web page somewhere that contains the official Landrover water ingress details for the disco.

Hope this is of some use.
