My freelander had its first good long drive since I got it on the road, And the car had stood for over a year before that. What I noticed was the colant had gone from its clean redish/pink to black, is this a problem or is it just from the hoses and ****e in radiator cause it has sat for a year??

think i would flush it and change it, oat technology has degraded.

what you are seeing is normal corrosion degredation which is manifesting itself in black oxide of iron (Fe 2 O 3) in solution, found in nature as hematite and as rust in all landrovers.
Change all of the coolant.

do I just drop all coolant then refill or do i need to flush it out?? Also I havent looked around the system what is easiest way and access to drop fluid on the freelander??

nothing is easy on a freelander.

put a flush in for a 100 miles and then drain it by disconnecting bottom hose at radiator.
