Warped exhaust manifold and broken studs

Hi All,

I have an issue, the exhaust manifold has warped, and snapped off three studs. Two at the front and one at the rear. I have tried to get them out but they are very stuck, plus the air con pump is in the way of the front two so I cant access them easily. Any help or advice is welcome.

you can move aircon pump even with it still piped up

Has it snapped them off flush with the head or is anything you can get at?

Yep, got those stud extractors by stahwile, excellent bit of kit!

When you get the manifold off it will ned refacing and also the webs cutting out, this allows more flex and stop's the warp happening again.

Yea they have snapped flush. Wouldn't have been a problem otherwise.

It has been faced, and I will cut the webs out before it goes back on.

I did use some fancy nut's when I did mine as they had built in floaty type washer's so allowed more movement, sorry cannot remember what they came off ?
Also drilled all holes bar the most end two out another couple of millimetres again to allow movement.
