I have a main dealer fitted warn winch, about 3 years old.
In my stupidity yesterday i managed to slice through most of the 5 core remote control cable when the winch cable rubbed across it. Anyway, my daft mistake, spliced cable together and all is working fine.
However, i would have thought that a fuse would have blown but obviously it didn't.
Is there a fuse in the circuit and if so, where would a main dealer fit it?
The solenoid is under the passenger seat and all that is connected to that are two fat red cables, one from battery and one from solenoid to winch, plus a very thin black and a very thin white cable- i presume wired to the isolator switch on the dash but i could be wrong.
many thanks in advance
