Seems hitting a pothole has upset the old girl, odd as I’ve done some laning this weekend and all has been good. Hopefully the AA man has a trick up his sleeve....

The are new ones, hadn’t noticed they’d sprayed them to be honest, will have to give the garage a call. It’s blown the 30a fuse, it makes a noise with another one in place but doesn’t level. Wish I’d bought a computer before I needed it now! Still waiting for the AA.

Ironically I budgeted for one when I got the car, just hadn’t decided what to get. Liking the look of the lynx.

Evo was the one I fancied but will forget that. Anything between the others?

Got it home, he released the air and we pulled the fuse when it was at a sensible looking height. Not wise maybe but it made it, definitely no leaks in the system as it was fine all the way.

We’ll done as much research as I can, Hawkeye looks good as it’ll do other land rovers but the nanocom wins for looking like it does a little more, is small enough to sit in a phone holder for live data and it can record a journey to use as a ‘control’. Look forward to playing with it! And more importantly fixing the car....

Yes, nanocom is ''smarter'' when it comes to capabilities but unfortunately it has some gliches e.g: it's completely unreliable when it comes to ACE fault codes, partially unreliable in relation with SLABS codes especially with SLS and has a mind of it's own when it comes to BCU as it changes settings without request while Hawkeye is a bit rudimentary but 100% reliable... that's why i have them both

Wish I’d have known that before as SLS and ACE are both on my car. Hopefully it’s something they know about and can fix on an update?

You can still do the job with it but you must rely on live readings which are OK rather than fault codes on these two systems

That’s good to hear. Hopefully the live data recording etc offsets that.

Have ordered two genuine height sensors, will keep the known good one as spare. Also got a spare air bag, schrader emergency air bag valves, new sensor connectors and a couple of fusible links coming. I’ll keep that lot in the car just in case! I really like the SLS and the ACE systems, hopefully keeping them healthy doesn’t bankrupt me!!

So went out in the rain today, laid in a puddle to reconnect the wiring, fitted a new fusible link and hey presto it’s of course fixed itself, went straight up to standard height, off road mode also working spot on. I’ll still do the new sensors and fit the new wiring connectors, may not need the nanocom for this job but I’m sure I’ll be pleased to have it. Want to change some settings like the auto locking and the always disarm with key etc anyway.

Just one question, how tight would one do up the air pipes into the compressor? Noticed I can turn all of mine clockwise quite easily, should they be tight?
