Hello guys hope all is good, lately had an issue with a injector harness where the oil was tracking down the o rings and dripping on the alternator so fitted new loom and a genuine rocker gasket I’ve had in the garage for years question is does the d at the back have a certain Method to get right because I think I’ve got it right but only time will tell with it leaking oil again? I’ve done about 4 - 5 mile and it seems ok so far. On another subject found the front radiator has a couple of fins missing, it is almost 20 years old and not leaking but when it comes to replacing is genuine the way to go or is there some good alternative?

For the rocker cover some people put a bit of RTV on that half moon bit, I think it says that in the manual too although i never have and never had an issue.

For radiators Nissens are very good, never had an issue with them. NRF also have good reports though i've never used one myself. I still have the original radiator in my D2 and that will be getting one of them eventually.

Thank you for that Tom, my landy still goes to work everyday what would you recommend in that case with regards to the radiator?

I read in the manual and it says not to use sealant on the rocker gasket on 15p engine so didn’t bother (for now)

I think the most important thing is tightening it down squarely, like you would a head gasket. The quality of the grommets also makes a difference long-term. The Allmakes PR2 ones that everyone is selling I have found they perish after only a few months, and obviously lose their clamping ability with it. I think any reference to OEM by Allsh*te, Sh*tpart or Terrachina needs to be taken with a pinch of salt (I'm sure I have said about the D2 wheel bearing saga!) I'm just in the process of taking the choice away with the grommets!

Nissens and NRF are about the same quality and price, so whatever you can get hold of easiest/cheapest will be fine. If i had to choose one over the other I'd choose the Nissens purely because I've used them before, but plenty of people have had zero issues with NRF.
