do a search on here for snorkel you should find my home made jobbie which doesn't look too bad,in total the snorkel cost me aprox £30 (£18 for the top, £5 for the pipe and the rest went on rubber hose to connect it and other bits like clips and stuff) as for breathers you will need some 1/8th bsp swivel connectors the bolt into your axle and some nylon hose to run up to your snorkel from it. you will still have the problem of it being a petrol and it cutting out when it gets wet tho, for deep wading you need a doosel

i have broken my snorkel.......... it had been bashed into branches been hit by birds but until about an hour ago it had not been troubled......... then i hit it with a discovery rear axle that was hanging from my engine crane and it has cracked the joint i made inthe pipe..............bugger

"beware Disco axles hanging from trees" - i aint seen that warning before.
